Vanessa Plant

Vanessa Plant is the Executive Director of the ALKU Foundation, where she leads the organization’s philanthropic efforts to support nonprofits expanding opportunities for young people and advancing women’s safety and equity. With nearly 20 years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit leadership, she is recognized for building strong partnerships and guiding strategic investments that create lasting community impact.

She is an advisor to Philanthropy Massachusetts’ CEOs of Family Foundations cohort and volunteers her time with numerous nonprofits across Greater Boston.

Vanessa holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies from UMass Boston and spent much of her early life in Panama. She now lives just outside of Boston with her two daughters.
