Summer Employment
Leaders-in-Training (Ages 14-17) work with Boston Explorers staff during our Summer Camp from late-June through mid-August. Through engagement with staff, campers, families and community members, LITs gain valuable experience, work habits, and skills in a supportive environment - and are paid for their work. Must be 14 years old by July 7, 2026 and obtain a valid work permit. Applications available in April 2026. (Those 18 and older are encouraged to explore open positions for employment.)
School-Year Workshops
We provide workshops throughout the school year for teens and young adults (ages 14-24) geared towards the development of professional and leadership skills. Topics include resume writing, interpersonal communication, interviewing, financial literacy, networking, and career exploration/mapping.

Our Leaders-in-Training programs nurture the next generations of leaders. LITs learn and strengthen skills and habits in regard to their professional, personal, and community identities over the course of the program.
Teens develop a set of skills that will serve as a sturdy foundation to be a leader in any area of life: fundraising, planning and hosting programming days, researching explorations, recruiting participants, stewarding donors, marketing and advertising, and more!
